I am a member of the Sher lab and I also major in East Asian Studies. Outside of class I am also a board member of Ujamaa, a director of Black Raspberry and I work for the ITS Helpdesk.
Rebecca Schecter, BA 2026

I’m Rebecca Schechter. I’m a senior (‘26) double-majoring in physics and math. I am a member of Professor Renee Sher’s experimental optics lab and a physics course assistant and tutor. Outside of academics, I am a member of Wesleyan’s women’s rowing team.

Francesca Carnovale, BA 2026

I’m Francesca Carnovale. I am currently a senior physics major with interests in astronomy and engineering. I am a CA for many physics classes, and outside of class, I am heavily involved in extracurricular dance.

Arjun Menezes, BA 2027
- Majors: Physics, IDEAS
I’m a Physics and IDEAS major in the class of 2027 and I’m an international student from Goa, India. I’m a course assistant for physics and I do research in fluid dynamics with the Voth Lab. Outside of the department, I am a Studio Assistant in the IDEAS Lab and I teach the Student Forum “3D Printing: From Design to Product”. In my free time, I play intramural soccer and occasionally do some competitive cycling!

Dana Hennings, BA 2027

I’m Dana, a junior ‘27, majoring in physics and astronomy. I’m a physics course assistant and member of Professor Ed Moran’s research group in the astronomy department. Outside of academics, I’m a coxswain on the Wesleyan Women’s Crew team and a pilot.

I’m Astrid, a sophomore physics and astronomy major. I’m a physics course assistant, and I do research in the astronomy department with Ed Moran. Outside of my major, I’m a sound designer and work for Sound Co-op.

Leo Sullivan, BA 2028
- Prospective Physics Major
Hi, I’m Leo Sullivan. I am majoring in physics and astronomy, and am planning on doing the Dartmouth 2-1-1-1 Engineering dual degree program for Electrical Engineering. I do research in the McKenzie-Smith Lab, where I am currently studying the effects of anesthesia on Drosophila melanogaster (common fruit fly). In my spare time, I participate in the Wesleyan Chamber Ensemble as a pianist and run the Hiraeth Fiction Magazine.

Owen Dunton, BA 2025, MA 2026

I’m a BA/MA student in Francis Starr’s computational materials science research group. I was a physics and math major, and am the president of Wesleyan’s Society of Physics Students (SPS). Outside of research, I enjoy camping and hiking.
